VOLUNTEERING: If you have a passion for working with the Latino community, education and outreach, volunteering with Encuentro can be a rewarding way to get involved with our amazing programs, staff and communities in Maryland. Whether you have just one evening to help out groups, want to volunteer weekly at our center and can spend some time in office supporting a program, you can become a part of our team. Our volunteers commit to a variety of days and hours including evenings and weekends (especially in the spring, summer and early fall months). Our volunteers range from college students to working professionals and community groups.
INTERNSHIPS: Encuentro hosts interns in many of our of program areas, including Couples workshop/sessions, development and research. Students with a variety of experiences and backgrounds, including public health, social work, writing, education, business/marketing, special events, community development, public policy and urban studies are encouraged to apply. Interns generally commit to 15-30 hours per week for at least 12 weeks. (Some exceptions apply.) All of our internship opportunities are based out of our office in Maryland.
DONATING: Make a tax-exempt contribution to Family Circle If you donate online, you will immediately receive a thank-you email containing your tax receipt. We'll also send you a tax letter in the mail. Donors typically receive their tax letters within two weeks of when their gift arrives. Family Circle is a registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law.
